Cataleya Wellness Prenatal massage is specifically created to address all of the common concerns of pregnant women such as overall discomfort and achiness, exhaustion, lower back and hip pain, shoulder and neck tension, swelling in the hands and feet, and calf cramping, just to name a few. You can choose to be in a side-lying position which uses a body pillow to ensures comfort and support or if you have missed being able to lay down on your stomach, you can select a safe and comfortable face-down position which uses a specific prenatal cushion system. Each session is deeply delightful and is designed to address your areas of concern.

You are pampered with:

-  A glass of charcoal infused water or a warm cup of tea upon your arrival


-  Table heater that is adjusted to your comfort level that will have you feeling warm and
    cozy


-  Soothing music and white noise machine to help you tune out those busy thoughts and
   drift off into the land of relaxation and rejuvenation


-  Soft sheets, pillows, and bolsters for your ultimate comfort


-  A written intake and a verbal consult with your therapist to insure a tailored session just
   for you.

 

-  All of the massage techniques that are used in your session are included in the session
   price. There is never an additional charge for specific techniques like Trigger Point
Therapy or
   Myofascial Release.

 

-  After every session you are sent home with “homework” consisting of tips and tricks for
    self-care that will help you get relief between massages. These may be stretches,
    exercises, self-massage techniques or dietary and lifestyle changes.

 

How to Prepare for your Cataleya Wellness Prenatal Massage:
 

-  Arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out the intake form.


-  Refrain from eating a heavy meal at least two hours before your massage. Receiving a
   massage in a face-down position on a full stomach wouldn’t be very comfortable.


-  Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water before and after your massage.


-  Share your goals for the session with your therapist (i.e. relieve pain, release tension,
    just relax, etc.).


-  Notify your therapist of any medical conditions, pre-existing injuries, or any surgeries that
    you have had in the past.
